High-flying dunks and clutch shots lead Jacks to win over Bulldogs

WARREN, Ark. – In a important matchup on Friday night, the Warren Lumberjack Men’s Basketball team emerged victorious against the Star City Bulldogs with a final score of 64-55.

1st Quarter: A Strong Start

The Warren Lumberjacks came out firing on all cylinders early on, working the ball inside effectively. Antonio Jordan came out hot, contributing 9 points in the first quarter. David Jordan and Tramond Miller also made significant contributions as the quarter ended in a competitive tie at 17-17.

2nd Quarter: Battle in the Paint

The second quarter witnessed an intense battle in the paint on both ends of the floor. Antonio Jordan continued his stellar performance, hitting a beautiful fade. Despite a somewhat stretched and chaotic phase with turnovers on both sides, Jordan’s big plays, along with contributions from Miller, and Jayden Ridgell off the bench, helped Warren secure a 35-25 lead at halftime.

3rd Quarter: Dominance Continues

Antonio Jordan continued to shine in the third quarter with a couple of impressive dunks, while Cam Burks knocked down a crucial three-pointer. The Lumberjacks maintained their lead, heading into the fourth quarter with a score of 54-45.

4th Quarter: Sealing the Victory

The final quarter saw Warren facing a brief scoring drought, allowing Star City to cut the lead to 56-52 with just 3:14 remaining. However, Antonio Jordan stepped up with a big jumper, and Tramond Miller contributed a key basket to secure the win. Antonio Jordan’s late-game scores, including a basket off the backboard from an inbounds play and a powerful slam, sealed the victory for Warren with a final score of 64-55.

With this win, Warren’s record improves to 4-2 overall and an impressive 3-1 in Conference 8-4A. The Lumberjacks look to continue their success in the next game at home on January 16 against Hamburg, immediately following the Warren Women’s game starting at 5:30 p.m.
