Holden Cathey shines as Grand Champion at Purple Circle Club’s prestigious induction ceremony

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – In a ceremony held on December 9th in Little Rock, the Purple Circle Club welcomed 162 exceptional students into its prestigious ranks. Sponsored by Farm Bureau Arkansas, this annual event celebrated the achievements of youth exhibitors who demonstrated excellence in livestock projects at the Arkansas State Fair.

Established in 1952, the Purple Circle Club serves as a beacon of recognition for young talents who have secured championship honors in various livestock categories. This year’s inductees represented a collective tally of over 240 awards, showcasing the dedication and hard work of Arkansas’s youth in the field.

The ceremony acknowledged the remarkable accomplishments of students who competed in diverse categories, including Breeding Cattle, Commercial Steers/Heifers, Dairy Cattle, Cattle Showmanship, Goats, Lambs, Sheep, Rabbits, Poultry, and Swine.

Among the standout awardees was Holden Knox Cathey from Bradley County, who received the prestigious Grand Champion title for Maintainer Heifer.

Farm Bureau Arkansas, the proud sponsor of this event, expressed its commitment to supporting the growth and development of youth in agriculture.
