STUTTGART, Ark. – The Warren Lumberjacks emerged victorious against the Stuttgart Ricebirds with a final score of 71-65 on Tuesday night, January 30. This crucial Conference 8-4A showdown marked a turnaround for the Lumberjacks, who faced a disappointing home defeat against Stuttgart just 24 days ago.

1st Quarter

Warren started the game with an impressive display of three-point shooting, as Antonio Jordan opened the scoring with a three-pointer on their first possession. Tramond Miller, the team’s point guard, showcased his sharpshooting skills by adding a three of his own, drawing a foul, and converting the subsequent free throw for a four-point play. The Ricebirds closed the gap to within 5 points with 5 minutes left in the game, but Antonio Jordan responded with a crucial driving shot to widen the Lumberjack lead. Miller, relentless in his efforts, added another layup on the counter-attack, earning a foul and sinking the subsequent free throw. Colton Steen’s impactful minutes, marked by a steal and an assist for another Miller layup, helped Warren maintain control. Despite late drama and a contentious foul, resulting in free throws for Stuttgart, the Lumberjacks stood firm, securing the victory with a final score of 71-65.
