Residential garbage pickup to resume Monday in Warren

WARREN, Ark. – After a temporary pause in residential garbage pickup services due to winter weather, the City of Warren Sanitation Department is set to resume operations on Monday, January 22, 2024 with regular Monday routes scheduled for pickup.

The interruption in garbage collection occurred over the past week as the city faced challenging weather conditions, including ice and snow, which made roadways unsafe for the sanitation crews to carry out their duties.

Warren Mayor Gregg Reep provided an update on the situation, assuring residents that the sanitation teams are geared up to recommence trash pickup on Monday. However, he emphasized that the process might take longer than usual due to prevailing icy conditions across the town. Safety remains a top priority, and crews will exercise caution by adjusting their pace to ensure a secure working environment.

Residents are advised to be patient as the sanitation teams work diligently to address the backlog caused by the weather-related disruption. Mayor Reep also indicated that the crews are prepared to handle the Tuesday routes on their scheduled day, reassuring residents that services will return to normalcy.

For further updates or inquiries, residents can contact the City of Warren Sanitation Department or the Warren Mayor’s Office.
