The streets growing with traffic Tuesday, but caution is advised as several vehicles have been reported slipping and sliding out of control for brief moments.

Despite the challenges, the snow and sleet pack is robust enough that roads are passable in most areas around Warren. Martin Street, in particular, has seen an increase in traffic, with locals braving the wintry conditions to grab a bite at McDonald’s, where a steady lineup for lunch was observed. Other establishments, including the Donut Palace, Mitchell Lumber and Hardware, and the Warren Municipal Building, remain open to serve the community.

The Street Department has deployed crews to work on keeping the roads as safe as possible. The recent snowfall has added a layer that provides a bit more grip to vehicles, helping mitigate some of the slippery conditions.

Additionally, both Warren and Hermitage School Districts have canceled school for Wednesday, prioritizing the safety of students and staff.
