Warren School District announces plans for make-up days

The following is a press release from the Warren School District:

Dear Warren School District Community,

Due to storm damage, multiple ice/snow days, and a boil order, the Warren School District needs to make up seven days of school. In order to meet state requirements, the district must provide a 178-day calendar or 1068 hours of instruction on an alternative schedule. After exploring various options to make up for the missed days, the Warren School District has decided to switch to an hourly count schedule starting on Thursday, February 1, 2024.

The transition to an hourly count calendar will bring minimal changes for the district.

The arrival times and dismissal times will not change at ABC, Warren Elementary, Brunson Elementary and Warren Middle School. The new arrival time and dismissal time is listed below for Warren High School.

Warren High School:

Tardy Bell will ring at 7:50 a.m. for 1st period to begin.

Dismissal will be at 3:26 p.m.

The Warren School District is grateful for your understanding and support during this transition. We appreciate your patience and encourage you to contact the school office or central office with any questions you may have.

Thank you for entrusting us with your child’s education.

Sincerelv.

Bryan Cornish, Warren School District Superintendent
