Jacks’ first Regional Tournament game confirmed for next Thursday

In a thrilling culmination of their regular season efforts, the Warren Lumberjacks have clinched the 3rd seed spot representing the 8-4A Conference in the upcoming 4A South Regional Tournament. The tournament is scheduled to be held in Nashville, Arkansas, promising an electrifying showcase of talent and determination next week.

The Jacks will hit the court for their tournament opener on Thursday, February 22, 2024, with tip-off set for 5:30 p.m. The opponent for this crucial matchup has yet to be confirmed officially, but signs point to a showdown with the 2nd seed from Conference 7-4A, Arkadelphia.

The Lumberjacks enter the tournament with an impressive 12-4 overall record, backed by a formidable 11-3 season conference record. Their recent form speaks volumes, as they ride the wave of five consecutive victories, a streak that includes two significant wins in the past week over top-tier teams in the 8-4A Conference, namely Watson Chapel and Little Rock-Mills.

Reflecting on the team’s achievements and looking ahead to the challenges that lie in wait, Coach Correy Muldrew emphasized the importance of maintaining focus and intensity. “Going forward, we just want to be playing good basketball one game at a time,” Muldrew stated, encapsulating the team’s mantra as they prepare to battle for regional supremacy and a possible 4A State Tourney birth. The Jacks must win the first game of Regionals to advance to State.

Saline River Chronicle, The Home of Lumberjack Sports, will have complete coverage of all the action next week from Nashville.
