Joint law enforcement departments come together for random K-9 search of local school

WARREN, Ark. – Last week, the Warren Police Department, in collaboration with officers from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department K-9 unit, conducted an unannounced inspection of the Warren High School campus. The surprise search, which is a routine part of safety measures, aims to deter illegal activities and ensure the security of the school environment.

As part of the inspection, a trained German Shepherd from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department K-9 unit was deployed to sweep the premises for any potential illegal substances. The highly skilled canine, trained specifically for detection purposes, meticulously scoured various areas of the school campus, including the exterior of the premises.

The joint operation between the local law enforcement agencies underscores their commitment to maintaining a safe and drug-free learning environment for students. Such proactive measures serve as a deterrent against the presence and distribution of illegal substances within school premises.

The search is done in collaboration with the Warren School District.
