The talented singer-songwriter was officially announced as one of the nominees for Arkansas Country Music Inspirational Artist of the Year after winning the award in 2023.
WARREN, Ark. – Bradley County native Josie Hargis has once again been nominated for the prestigious title of Inspirational Artist of the Year at the Arkansas Country Music Awards. This marks her second consecutive nomination for the award, as announced by the Arkansas Country Music Awards on Thursday, February 8, 2024.
Hargis, who clinched the award in 2023, continues to captivate audiences with her soul-stirring performances and remarkable musical journey. Rising to prominence just a few years ago, Josie made a resounding entrance onto the music scene in 2019, showcasing her vocal talent. Since then, she has ceaselessly honed her skills and expanded her repertoire, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of her listeners.
One of her standout achievements came in 2020 when she penned her inaugural original song, “My Best Friend.” The emotionally resonant composition swiftly gained traction, amassing over 2.3 million views on TikTok and propelling Josie into the spotlight. Her meteoric rise on the platform also saw her amass an impressive following of 100K TikTok fans, a testament to the widespread appeal of her music.
Josie’s collaborative efforts with fellow Grace Cowboy Band member David Mann were integral to her success according to Hargis. Together, the duo crafted compelling and relatable tracks that struck a chord with audiences.
In addition to her musical accomplishments, Josie also graced the stage at last year’s Bradley County Pink Tomato Festival.
