Scarlett Minelee Ashcraft Thompson, age 78, of Warren, AR passed away on Thursday, February 1, 2024 in Fordyce, AR. She was born on October 9, 1945 in Warren, AR to the late Everett Ashcraft and Minelle McClain Ashcraft. She was a member of Christian Fellowship Church.
Other than her parents she is preceded in death by a brother, Ronnie Ashcraft and a sister, Sherry Ashcraft.
Survivors include her husband, Kenneth Thompson of Warren, AR whom she married on June 28, 1963; son, Kent Thompson of Monticello, AR; daughter, Karen Thompson Jones and spouse Danny of Fordyce, AR; brothers, Steve Ashcraft and spouse Rachel of Rye, AR, Hurley Ashcraft and spouse Brenda and Gary Ashcraft and spouse Wanda of Warren, AR; sister, Donna Ashcraft of Fordyce; grandchildren, Mechelle Jones, Kady Ferguson and spouse Jeffry, April Thompson and Ryan Thompson; great-grandchildren, Brinlie Ferguson, Charleigh Ferguson and Jeffry Ferguson, Jr. and sister-in-law, Wilma Adair and spouse Ronald of Warren, AR.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to Danny Jones for being Scarlett’s main caretaker for the past year. She would always refer to him as her “main man”.
Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 4, 2024 at Frazer’s Funeral Home with Bro. Hurley Ashcraft officiating. Burial will be in Reaves Cemetery by Frazer’s Funeral Home. Visitation will be 6:00 p.m.to 8:00 p.m. Saturday, February 3, 2024.
