Warren Fire Department honors local heroes at annual Fireman’s Ball

The esteemed Warren Fireman’s Ball once again illuminated the halls of the Warren Country Club on Saturday night, February 24th, 2024. A gathering filled with gratitude, camaraderie, and celebration, this annual event marked a significant moment for the Warren Fire Department as it recognized the valor and dedication of its members throughout the preceding year.

In a heartfelt ceremony, the Warren Fire Department presented its service awards for the calendar year 2023, acknowledging the exemplary contributions of its firefighters and officers. Among the distinguished recipients were:

  • Firefighter of the Year: Shaun Henderson
  • Officer of the Year: Captain Eric Corker
  • Most Fire Calls: Clint Horn & Eric Corker
  • Most Rescue Calls: Eric Corker
  • Rookie of the Year: Jose De La Cruz
  • 5 Years of Service: James Jones
  • 10 Years of Service: Jeremy Briant
  • 30 Years of Service: Captain Jerry Ashcraft
  • Retirement Plaque (29 Years of Service): Assistant Chief Larry Hayes

Throughout 2023, the Warren Fire Department responded to a total of 170 calls, demonstrating unwavering commitment in the face of emergencies. Among these calls were 21 structure fires and 8 rescue missions, highlighting the department’s versatility and readiness to tackle diverse challenges.

The community of Warren expressed profound gratitude for the relentless efforts of the Fire Department, recognizing their sacrifices and valor in ensuring public safety.

In attendance at the event were notable figures from the City of Warren, including Fire Chief Chuck Moore and Warren Mayor Gregg Reep.

Adding a touch of philanthropy to the evening, an auction benefiting the Fire Department was conducted, with Mike Nichols serving as the Auctioneer.

As the night drew to a close, amidst laughter, applause, and heartfelt gratitude, the 2024 Warren Fireman’s Ball stood as a poignant tribute to the bravery and commitment of the Warren Fire Department, reinforcing their role as guardians of the community’s safety and well-being.
