Earnestine Gannaway Harden, 1946-2024

Earnestine Gannaway Harden, 78, of Warren, passed away March 13, 2024. Born March 7, 1946, to the late Quinnie and Gladys Gannaway.  She was a member of First Baptist Church in Banks, where she served faithfully until her health failure. She was a retiree of Potlatch Corporation after 17 years of employment.

She later in life met Fred E. Harden and they married on her birthday in March 2004. She was a loving and kind person to everyone she met. She loved cooking for her family and her husband’s friends.

She was also preceded in death by eighteen siblings.

Earnestine is survived by her husband, Fred Harden; daughter, Francine Gill Butler; grandson, Tristan Gill; great grandchildren, Aubree Gill, Tristan Gill Jr., Kyriel Gill; nephew, Van Davis (Suzanne); stepson, Henry York; siblings, Grady Tatum, Earnestine Ingram, Betty Edwards (Roy), Glenda Hines, Nettie Davis (Bobby); sister-in-laws, Ruth Harden, Lorraine Kashmire, Carolyn Hines McCoy; brother-in-law, Glen Hines; a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral service was held March 23 at St. James AME Church in Warren with Rev. Kurbe Newsom officiating and Rev. Calvin Warner eulogist. Burial was in Hall Cemetery in Banks. Arrangements by Hammons Funeral Home.
