Jacks battle, but fall to Little Rock Christian in the 4A State Tournament quaterfinals

FARMINGTON, Ark. – In a highly anticipated showdown at the 4A State Basketball Tournament Quarterfinals, the Warren Lumberjacks clashed with the defending state champions, the Little Rock Christian Warriors. Despite putting up a valiant effort, the Lumberjacks succumbed to the Warriors, with a final score of 67-40.

1st Quarter
Warren started off strong, with Jayden Ridgell scoring the opening basket assisted by Antonio Jordan. Neon’dre Thomas showcased his skills with a couple of impressive drives into the paint. The first quarter ended with the game tied at 11-11.

2nd Quarter
The momentum swung back and forth in the second quarter. Warren briefly took the lead with a thunderous slam dunk from Antonio Jordan. However, Little Rock Christian responded, and by halftime, they held a commanding 32-19 advantage.

3rd Quarter
Antonio Jordan ignited Warren’s offense at the start of the third quarter with a timely three-pointer. However, Warren faced a setback as point guard Tramond Miller encountered foul trouble, forcing him to the bench. Little Rock Christian capitalized on this opportunity, gradually extending their lead.

4th Quarter
Despite facing a significant deficit, Warren fought resiliently in the final quarter. Tramond Miller, returning to the court, and knocked down consecutive three-pointers. However, Little Rock Christian maintained their composure to secure a 67-40 victory, ending Warren’s 2023/24 basketball season.
