Seven Hermitage Hermits earn spots on All-Conference Basketball Team

In a remarkable display of talent and dedication, seven standout players from the Hermitage Hermits have secured coveted positions on the All-Conference Basketball Team for their outstanding performances throughout the 2023/24 season.

Hayden Cathey was named 1st Team All Conference. He led the Hermits with 22.5 points per game and led the Hermit senior boys in 3PM and free-throw percentage. Cathey also broke the single season and career scoring record. Carter Wilkerson clinched a spot on the All-Conference 1st Team. Wilkerson’s remarkable season saw him averaging 13.2 points per game and recording an impressive seven triple doubles, showcasing his versatility and skill on the court. Joining him is Oscar Martinez, whose contributions earned him a well-deserved position on the 2nd Team All-Conference.

On the women’s side, the Hermitage Lady Hermits have made their mark with an impressive roster of players securing spots on the All-Conference team. Nyasha Tatum, a force to be reckoned with on the court, secured a spot on the 1st Team All-Conference. Tatum averaged 13.3 points per game and led her team in points, rebounds, blocks, and field goal percentage, demonstrating her exceptional all-around capabilities. Aislin England joins Tatum on the 1st Team, boasting an average of 11.1 points per game and leading her team in three-pointers made and free throw percentage.

Additionally, Alayjah Strong and Olivia Harrod showcased their talent and determination, earning spots on the 2nd Team All-Conference for their invaluable contributions to the team’s success.

These seven athletes have exemplified the spirit of athleticism and teamwork, embodying the values of the Hermitage Hermits. Their dedication and skill have not only earned them individual accolades but have also contributed to the overall success of the team throughout the season.
