Elizabeth Ann Hegler, 1966-2024

Elizabeth Ann Hegler, 57, of Warren, passed away April 3, 2024. Born October 12, 1966, to the late John T. and Verna Moseley. She confessed her life to Christ at an early age and was a member of St. John AME Church. She was a graduate of Warren High School class of 1985.

Elizabeth was united in holy matrimony to Gary Hegler and to their union four children were born. She was a hardworking and dedicated woman. She made her career as a caregiver working at Pine Lodge Nursing Home and Chapel Woods Health & Rehabilitation for over 25 years. She was known as Liz by all the patients and her co-workers. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her family, watching her grandchildren play in the backyard, her husband grill and listening to music. To know Liz was to love her.

She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Patricia Moseley, La Wanda Moseley; maternal grandparents, O.V. and Geraldine Bradley; paternal grandparents, George and Verda Moseley.

She is survived by her husband, Gary Hegler Sr.; four children, Latricia Moseley (Isaiah), Cameil Hegler (Sedrie), Alyssa Hegler, Gary Hegler Jr.; seven siblings, Renell Ivy (Tommy), Wanda Hampton, Rosie Jackson (Jaime), Ellen Jackson (James), Robert Moseley, John D. Moseley, Detric Moseley; eleven grandchildren, Gabrielle Richardson, I’Liyah Thomas, Isaiah Thomas Jr., Kaylien Williams, Karter Williams, Ceiona Williams,

Zayn Williams, Sariyah Robertson, Chyna Caldwell, Le Christon Boulware Jr., Ellie Doyle; eleven nephews, three nieces, 21 great nieces and nephews, a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Funeral service was held April 13 at Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church in Warren with Rev. Eddie Hampton officiating. Burial was in St. John Cemetery in New Edinburg. Arrangements by Hammons Funeral Home.
