Lady Jacks dominate Watson Chapel, secure spot in Regional Tournament

The Lady Cats of Watson Chapel traveled to Warren to take on the Lady Jacks. Watson Chapel got lost on the way to Warren and never found their way, eventually falling to the orang and black by double digits.

The Lady Jacks sat the Lady Cats down in order in the top of the 1st inning. Breize Fellows reached on a hit pitch. Haven Johnson drew a base on balls. Ember Johnson loaded the bases when she was hit by a pitch. Charlee Wardlaw had a 2 RBI single. Bailey Miller had an RBI single. Natalie Hargrave walked to reload the bases. With 1 out, Raeleigh Milton had an RBI single. Ava Denton walked followed by a walk by Fellows to reload the bases. Haven Johnson walked followed by Ember Johnson’s walk. Wardlaw was hit by a pitch. Miller’s walk scored a run. Hargrave delivered a 2 RBI double. Presley Reep drew a base on balls. Raeleigh Milton followed with a walk. At the end of the 1st inning, after batting around twice, Warren led 13-0.

Watson Chapel’s leadoff batter singled and on the next pitch, Charlee Wardlaw threw the runner out trying to steal 2nd. The next 2 batters failed to reach base. Breize Fellows singled to lead off the inning. Haven Johnson followed Fellows with a walk. Johnson scored on a passed ball. Natalie Hargrave added a 2 RBI double. Presley Reep singled. Warren now led 16-0.

Watson Chapel failed to score in the top of the 3rd inning.

Warren comes away with a 16-0 win over Watson Chapel. The Lady Jacks are 9-6 on the season and have qualified for the 4A Regional Tournament in Nashville.

Warren’s next game is at Star City on Thursday.
