Lady Jacks fall to undefeated Lady Billies

WARREN, Ark. – Just another evening at the ballpark on Friday as the Warren Lady Jacks Softball team played host to their conference rival, the undefeated Monticello Lady Billies.

The Lady Billies capitalized on one walk, two hits, and two home runs to build a 4-0 lead. With two outs, Ember Johnson drew a base on balls in a 12-pitch at-bat. Unfortunately, Warren left her stranded.

Monticello picked up four more runs in the top of the 2nd. Warren had a 1-2-3 inning. The Lady Billies led 8-0.

The Lady Jacks’ defense held Monticello scoreless in the top of the 3rd inning. Raeleigh Milton led off the bottom of the inning with a base on balls, and Breize Fellows reached on an infield single. However, they remained stranded on base.

Monticello picked up one run to increase their lead to 9-0. Warren was unable to get their bats going in the bottom of the 4th.

The Lady Billies tacked on two more runs in the top of the 5th. The Lady Jacks’ Blythe Calloway singled with two outs, but she was unable to score.

The Lady Billies won 11-0 to remain undefeated. Warren will travel to Stuttgart on Tuesday.
