The Lumberjacks (9-4) broke through first after Nathan Spears led off the top of the fourth with a single and came around to score on an error. The Yellowjackets (7-6) evened the score at 1-1 in the bottom of the fifth on an error by the Jacks.

The Orange and Black loaded the bases in the top of the sixth with one out on a hit-by-pitch and two walks to set up an RBI single by AJ Jordan to move in front 2-1. Ren Reep followed with an RBI on a bases-loaded walk before Ervin Rivera and Jordan crossed home plate on passed balls to set the score at 5-1.

Rivera would enter the game on the mound in relief of Kolby Pope, who was excellent. Rivera tossed two scoreless frames to clinch the 5-1 win for Warren. Pope earned the win on the mound after throwing five innings. He allowed one unearned run on three hits with six strikeouts against one walk.

The Lumberjacks doubled up Sheridan on hits by a count of 6-3 with Jordan and Spears registering two apiece. Freshmen Tucker McDiarmid and Jackson Denton tallied the other two hits, and only extra-base hits, by Warren with a double and triple, respectively.

Warren returns to action later this week with another non-conference contest against McGehee on Thursday, April 4. First pitch from McGehee is set for 4:30 p.m.
