Mayor Denisa Pennington explained that an auditor felt the amendments were needed to match her figures. CARES funding, plus two grants, were received and expenditures from those items needed to be added to the budget.
Out of a total budget of about $7.2 million, $237,000 was added to administrative expenses, $14,292 to shooting range expenses and $74,000 to airport expenses.

The amended budget ordinance was given three readings and adopted at the meeting. Present were council members Angela Marshall, Joel Tolefree and Emily Moseley. Alderwoman Memory Frazer joined the meeting by phone. Council members Dorothy Henderson and Zachary Burks were absent.

Also present were City Clerk Helen Boswell and Administrative Assistant Charlotte Tenner-Brown.
