Crossett Lady Eagles hand Warren a conference defeat

CROSSETT, Ark. – Crossett dealt the Warren Lady Jacks another loss Tuesday evening, January 10, 2023 by the final of 43-19 at Crossett.

Offensive struggles continue to hamper the Lady Jacks as they search for their first 8-4A Conference win of the season. Tuesday’s game saw Warren spread the goal tally among six different shooters, however from the field Warren is currently finding it tough to come across sustained spells of scoring.

Both teams found points tough to come by in the opening quarter. Aniyah York was the lone Lady Jack to get a bucket from the field in the first period as Warren fell behind 7-3.

Crossett’s lead was extended to 20-12 at the halftime break. A slow second half scoring sent Warren home with a 43-19 loss on the road.

Paris Wright led the Lady Jacks with five points. Wright also led Warren with seven rebounds.

Tessa Andrus and Aniyah York each posted four points on the night. Michaela Stanley had three points and six rebounds, just behind Wright in the rebound column.

Cherish Dooley scored two and Amari Russell scored one.

Warren’s Lady Jacks fall to 0-3 in the 8-4A ahead of a very difficult road trip to Star City Friday evening. The team has an overall season record of 1-10.
