Flossie Mae Jackson Golden, 1937-2023

Flossie Mae Jackson Golden, 86, of Warren, formerly of Locust Bayou, passed away June 12, 2023. Born June 9, 1937, she was a daughter of the late Booker and Odessa Jackson.

She united in holy matrimony to Franklin Golden and to this union no children were born.

She accepted Christ at an early age at Pilgrim Baptist Church, Locust Bayou, AR., where she served faithfully as an usher, Sunday school attendant and prepared many meals for the kitchen. She was a lady of fashion. She loved her stylish suits and elegant hats. When she wasn’t working in church, she enjoyed fishing. Later in life, she relocated and joined Greater St. Paul in Camden. Flossie loved the Lord and knew that he was her Savior.

She was also preceded in death by four siblings, Amanda Hegler, Ed Jackson, Frank Jackson and Robert Jackson.

Flossie is survived by three nieces, Gloria Gant, Sandra Jackson of Warren, Barbara Jackson of Locust Bayou; three nephews, Danny, Davie and Randy Jackson; sister-in-law, Mae Lean Jackson; special cousin Faye McElroy; a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral service was June 17 at Pilgrim Baptist Church, Locust Bayou. Burial was in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Locust Bayou. Arrangements by Hammons Funeral Home.
