Jacks clutch in second win over Monticello this season

WARREN, Ark. – In a high-stakes showdown at Lumberjack Arena, the Warren Lumberjacks emerged victorious against the Monticello Billies with a final score of 63-57. The electric atmosphere was palpable as the two rivals battled it out in front of a packed crowd on Friday night.

1st Quarter: Jordan’s Three-Point Opener Sets the Tone

Warren’s Antonio Jordan drained a three-pointer on Warren’s first possession of the ballgame. Tramond Miller followed that up with a towering three on the subsequent possession. Jordan also made a crucial block that led to a breakaway basket moments later. At the end of the first quarter, Warren held a slim lead of 14-12.

2nd Quarter: Miller’s Hot Hand Keeps Warren Ahead

Miller continued to sizzle in the second quarter, adding another three from distance. However, Monticello kept pace, matching Warren’s efforts to keep the game neck-and-neck. Despite another three from Miller and a 10-point lead for the Jacks with 1:40 left, Monticello closed the gap late on due to a few Warren turnovers. The game was tied at 30-30 at halftime.

3rd Quarter: Antonio Jordan’s Slam Dunk Highlights Jacks’ Resurgence

Monticello seized the lead for the first time in the game during the third quarter. Warren, however, managed to reclaim the lead at 36-35 with 5:30 remaining. A highlight of the quarter was a thunderous slam dunk by Antonio Jordan with 2:30 on the clock. The Lumberjacks headed into the fourth quarter with a 47-44 lead.

4th Quarter: Miller’s Clutch Three-Pointers Secure the Win

The final quarter saw Warren take control as Miller nailed his fourth three-pointer of the night. David Jordan added a crucial three with 2 minutes to go, further extending the lead. Clutch free throws from Miller and Antonio Jordan in the closing moments secured the 63-57 victory for the Lumberjacks.
