Warren Track and Field Coach Janice Reddick speaks to Rotary

The Rotary Club of Warren met for its weekly meeting Tuesday, Jan. 9 inside First Methodist Church for its first meeting of the new year after a couple of weeks off for the holidays. The crowd heard from Junior Rotarians from Warren High School to begin things with Jolie Trussell and Kamdyn Simmons both presenting.

Rotarian Andrew Tolbert then introduced his program of Warren Junior and Senior High Girls Track and Field Coach Janice Reddick. Coach Reddick briefly touched on her educational background and family history before speaking at length about her career in the Warren School District. She mentioned a number of conference championships over the years, but gave the crowd some details about last year’s girls squad, which won the 4A Indoor State Championship and followed with the 4A Outdoor State Championship. Coach Reddick went over some records that were broken and talked about how the bulk of the team were freshmen and sophomores last year so they should be solid again this upcoming season. She is scheduled to go to a coaching clinic later this week and the Indoor State Track and Field Meet is set for Feb. 3 in Fayetteville as she is looking forward to another successful campaign. The Rotary Club of Warren will not meet next week, but will meet again on Tuesday, Jan. 23.
