WARREN, Ark. – In a impressive performance at Lumberjack Arena Tuesday night, February 13, the Warren Lumberjacks cemented a big win over an extremely talented Watson Chapel Wildcats team, claiming a hard-fought victory with a final score of 58-52 on senior night in Warren.

The win comes over an opponent which defeated Warren in late January in a tight battle on the road in Pine Bluff. Tuesday, Warren’s Tramond Miller and Antonio Jordan each recorded a double-double, combining for 44 points on the night. The Jacks out rebounded Chapel 30-19 en route to the victory.

1st Quarter

The Lumberjacks wasted no time in making their intentions clear, as David Jordan opened the scoring with a swift three-pointer just 40 seconds into the game. Tramond Miller continued his excellent run of play, driving into the paint for a couple of crucial baskets, while senior standout Jayden Ridgell knocked down a three-pointer to give Warren an early lead. The first quarter ended with Warren holding a narrow 17-16 advantage.

2nd Quarter

Warren continued to showcase their defensive strength in the second quarter, causing headaches for Watson Chapel with their relentless pressure. Antonio Jordan came up big for the Lumberjacks with a powerful inside basket, drawing a foul and converting the ensuing free throw. Despite a late surge from Watson Chapel, Warren trailed by just one point heading into halftime, with the scoreboard reading 31-30 in favor of the Wildcats.

3rd Quarter

The Lumberjacks’ defensive intensity reached new heights in the third quarter, as they tightened the screws on Watson Chapel’s offense. Tramond Miller’s steal and assist to Neon’dre Thomas exemplified Warren’s defensive tenacity, though Chapel managed to maintain a slim lead midway through the period. However, Warren rallied late in the quarter, with crucial baskets from Miller and Ridgell. The game was deadlocked at 44-44 heading into the final quarter.

4th Quarter

Warren came out firing in the fourth quarter, with Miller and Antonio Jordan leading the charge. Miller’s steal and assist to Jordan for a thunderous slam ignited the crowd, which registered dangerous decibel levels in Lumberjack Arena, propelling the Lumberjacks to a 50-46 lead with five minutes remaining. Miller continued to shine down the stretch, sealing the victory with a clutch jumper in the final minute. Antonio Jordan hit a late free throw that put the game completely out of the reach of Chapel, securing a memorable win for Warren.
